American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel got choked up while addressing the illegal killing of Cecil the lion on his late-night show on Tuesday.
Kimmel expressed disgust with Walter J Palmer, the dentist who supposedly lured the animal out of a Zimbabwean national park and then shot, skinned and beheaded him.
"He (Walt Palmer) emailed a statement to the local news saying “I had no idea the lion I took was a known local favourite until the end of the hunt”, which first of all stop saying you ‘took’ the lion. You take aspirin, you killed the lion."He said
