Sometimes people do pretty dumb things in order to impress their friends. If one of your friends dares you to do something then you pretty much have to do it, no matter how stupid it is. People tend to feel completely bulletproof when they’re with a group of their mates, even if what they’re doing could get them seriously hurt.
Recently, YouTuber Shah Faisal Shinwari attempted a stunt that was supposed to cure him of his fear of heights. He attempted to jump off of the Tower Bridge in London because one of his friends dared him to try the scary stunt. This dude has absolutely no training and it’s pretty miraculous that he didn’t end up in a hospital, but he will definitely be filing an insurance claim.
Shinwari leaps off the bridge and into the water below, but he doesn’t stick his landing particularly well. He kind of just flops into the dark, swirling waters below and doesn’t seem to do much. It’s clear that he’s fighting against the current and needs help immediately. The Royal National Lifeboat Institution had torescue Shinwari and he received some medical attention once he was pulled from the water.
Shinwari acknowledged just how stupid this stunt was later and said that his fans will never see anything this dangerous on his channel again. If he wanted to gather more fans, this probably wasn’t the best way to do it!
